What to Expect

Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important that our relationship can go the distance. We’ve found that one of the best ways to have successful patient relationships is to explain everything in advance. No surprises!

The more you understand who we are, what we do and why we do it, the better results you’ll enjoy. It’s as simple as that.

Your First Visit

On the first visit to our office we have our patients fill out some health history forms, let us take a copy of a current insurance card if they have it, and give us a description of their symptoms, pain etc. The paperwork will not take long but is necessary for the Dr. to have an informed history to consider before he works on you. Dr. Adams will then take you into an exam room and discuss with you how your pain affects your daily activities and any limitations you may have before he adjusts you. After your first adjustment you may feel worse, better or feel the same. The awesome thing about chiropractic is that the magic happens in between appointments when your body is now free to heal itself, void of any interference in the spinal column. Dr. Adams will send you home with a home care sheet, if necessary, to give you instructions on icing techniques or heat therapy. The entire first visit should take approximately 45 minutes including paperwork.

Your Second Visit

On the second visit to our office the patient can expect Dr. Adams to ask them what improvements have been made since the first adjustment. He will re- evaluate your condition and adjust you again if necessary. The second visit is very important for Dr. Adams to be able to see what worked for your body and how quickly it is able to start making improvements.

Regular Visits

A typical visit to our office takes about fifteen minutes. We ask that you sign in, inform the front desk of any changes to your insurance status, and let the Dr. know if you have had any injuries or accidents since he last saw you. We hope that every visit to our office is a pleasant one that you would like to repeat and also share with others who may benefit from chiropractic care.
